Next it may prompt you to connect to the 'internet' Plug the computer into the router (port 1), and the router (internet) into the wall jack.
The next steps will configure your router and show diagrams of how to connect the router as described above. You also need to enter a password for the router terminal. Remember this!
Wireless Security needs to be turned on for all routers connected to the campus network. Turn it on, and select WPA security, this will generate a random key that you must enter when connecting a laptop to the router. Save this number! If you wish to have a password you can actually remember read "How do I change the security Password..." at the page below.

Safe Connect Notes
With Harding's Network you need to disable DHCP on the router, and connect it in a non-traditional way.
Connect Directly to the Router
Open your Browser
http://192.168.1.1
username: admin password:<admin> or whatever you changed it to in setup
Under the current screen (basic setup)
look for DHCP Server
Click Disable
Save Settings
Connect the wall jack to the router LAN port instead WAN (internet port). If you leave the wall port in WAN you will get a limited connectivity error.
You are now able to get online, you may have to reset the router for this to take effect.
NOTE:
You are no longer routed directly through the router, so if you go to 192.168.1.1 it will not connect. To get to the router when DHCP is disabled you simply set your IP settings to manual:
Right click on Local Area Connection > Properties > TCP/IP
IP Address: 192.168.1.100
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
leave DNS blank
When you are done configuring the router be sure to remember to set your IP Address DHCP back to automatic so you can get back on the internet.
