Safe Connect Notes

With Harding's Network you need to disable DHCP on the router, and connect it in a non-traditional way. MAC address clone is not relevant.
Connect Directly to the Router

Open your Browser

http://routerlogin.net

username: admin   password:<password> unless you changed it

Under the current screen (Advanced)

look for LAN Setup

Uncheck Use Router as a DHCP Server

Save Settings

Connect the wall jack to the router LAN port instead WAN (internet port).  If you leave the wall port in WAN you will get a limited connectivity error.

You are now able to get online, you may have to reset the router for this to take effect.

NOTE:

You are no longer routed directly through the router, so if you go to 192.168.1.1 it will not connect.  To get to the router when DHCP is disabled you simply set your IP settings to manual:

Right click on Local Area Connection > Properties > TCP/IP

IP Address: 192.168.1.100

Subnet:       255.255.255.0

Gateway:    192.168.1.1

leave DNS blank

When you are done configuring the router be sure to remember to set your IP Address DHCP back to automatic so you can get back on the internet
